We will be holding YLS on Nov. 20, from 12-4 PM at the Four Points by Sheraton Boston Newton in the Charles Ballroom. Lunch will be provided.

For the past eight years, KACL-NE has invited AAPI leaders from around the county to speak about their experiences with the next generation of young leaders. This year's theme is going Against the Grain or 내면의 목소리를 찿아서, highlighting individuals who have paved their own paths to pursue their passions and make a difference in their communities.

We are thrilled to have three speakers on our docket for this year's YLS:

- Joseph Juhn: Korean American lawyer-turned-documentary filmmaker
- Thu Nguyen: community organizer and the first nonbinary person elected to office in Massachusetts
- Dr. Kee Park: Director of Policy and Advocacy for the Program in Global Surgery and Social Change and lecturer at the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School

Community Activism Scholarship - ($500 for 3 recipients)
The following scholarships are to award students who have demonstrated a strong sense of community activism. We will consider applications from currently enrolled college students and or high school students who wish to continue their studies towards a career in health, human, or social services and/or in civic engagement.

Young Leaders Scholarship - ($1000 for 1 recipient)
Recognizing the attribution of higher education to personal and professional success while being a leader, the AAC is pleased to issue a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for a current college student to use towards their undergraduate education expenses.
