Dignitas' Kurtis "Aui_2000" Ling has been released from his contract by mutual consent. This is what Dignitas had to say:
"Kurtis and Team Dignitas Ltd have agreed a mutual financial settlement in order to release Aui_200 from his existing contract with our team. We wish him well and good luck in his future professional gaming exploits."

"I entered the DotA2 scene with team potm bottom in March of 2012", Ling said. "We had a very good run through that summer and as a result we had a few sponsorship offers. We declined them all because we wanted to wait for a sponsor that was right for us--one that would work with us and help us succeed. Then we made contact with Team dignitas. We were all relatively new to the DotA2 scene and none of us had ever even been to a LAN. Team dignitas held our hand, invited us into their family, and helped us a grow as a team--I do not think I could have asked for a better first sponsor experience. Unfortunately the time to depart has come. I would like to thank Team dignitas for taking us in and in particular our manager dignitas.monolith and the sponsors who made it possible to attend lans and play professional. Thank you to all the fans who supported us on the dignitas dota2 team."
Michael "ixmike88" Ghannam is currently off Team Liquid's active roster, but he's remaining on the team. On his stream, ixmike88 stated that he would be focusing on his programming career for a while instead. Mike had this to say:
"I'm not sure how to start other than by thanking all of the fans and supporters of myself and Team Liquid. It’s been an incredible year (9 months but whatever) and it wouldn't have been made possible without you guys..."

"...As for now, I consider myself on break from Dota. In this time, I am going to pursue other things such as NEL, IXDL, and other things. I don’t know where I want to go regarding Dota, but I plan to take this time to reevaluate my situation and perhaps find my inspiration again. For those interested, I will continue to stream casual IXDL games and maybe some programming. Finally, I would like to thank all of my fans, supporters and Team Liquid for everything, it would have been incredibly less enjoyable without all of you guys."
Meanwhile EG got a new roster consisting of:
-Clinton “Fear” Loomis: Team Captain and Support
-Jio “Jeyo” Madayag: Carry
-Saahil “UNiVeRSe” Arora: Off-lane
-Ioannis "Fogged" Loucas: Support
-Arif "MSS" Anwar: Middle
EG elaborated stating, "Jio "Jeyo" Madayag and Clinton "Fear" Loomis (our Captain) will remain on the team. Joining them will be Saahil "Universe" Arora and Ioannis "Fogged" Loucas, both formerly of Team Dignitas, who deserve thanks for agreeing to a very reasonable contract buyout settlement. Rounding out the lineup is Arif "MSS" Anwar, who at only 17 years of age will certainly be the lineup's up-and-comer."
EG also added, "Our new DotA 2 lineup will compete publicly for the first time tomorrow (Friday 9/20) at 9AM PDT in the WePlay DotA 2 League. We hope you'll all join us in welcoming and cheering on Fear, Fogged, Jeyo, MSS, and Universe."
Team Dignitas and Team Liquid trade waytosexy and Korok.
Team Dignitas had this to say:
"Team Dignitas and Team Liquid have come to a mutual agreement for a player trade between Peter 'waytosexy' Nguyen and Steven 'Korok' Ashworth. This is the first step in the direction of a new DotA 2 team which will be representing Team Dignitas in the near future.
We are currently still in process of deciding who will join Korok in the new Team Dignitas DotA 2 squad."
Peter 'waytosexy' Nguyen
Steven 'Korok' Ashworth
Charlie 'Monolith' Yang, Team Dignitas' DotA 2 manager added, "We are both regretful and excited to announce the trade of Peter “Waytosexy” Nguyen for Steven “Korok” Ashworth today from Team Dignitas to Liquid. While both were talented players they found a better fit in their new teams. Peter was a great captain and was one of the driving forces that allowed the team to succeed. He grew a lot during his time at Team Dignitas and we wish him well in the future on Liquid.
We are happy to welcome Korok to the team. He’s a known playmaker and incredibly talented in a variety of roles. With the rebuilding of the team, a veteran like Korok is an invaluable asset and we look forward to the future with him."
It will be interesting to see how the great Dota 2 shuffle will change the play styles of each team. Also I expect to see changes in the current meta, not only because of the shuffle, but through implementation of additional heroes that are upcoming in the recent patch as well.
